Built over three decades of Tanzanian agriculture
Premium Agro Chem Ltd has spent more than thirty years importing chemical fertilizers into Tanzania and moving them to the regions where they are needed, season after season.
Our story
The company was founded on a straightforward observation: Tanzanian growers could raise their yields substantially if quality fertilizer arrived on time, in good condition, and at a price that made sense against the harvest.
From a single trading operation in Dar es Salaam, Premium Agro grew alongside the country's agricultural corridors. Depots followed the crops — into Mbeya and the Southern Highlands, on to Njombe, Makambako and Songea — until we held stock within reach of the major production zones year round.
Today we are among the largest fertilizer distributors in East Africa, importing at scale and exporting across the border into Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Malawi, Rwanda and Zambia. The scale changed; the operating principle did not.
